Chocolate Glazed Dunkin’ Fonuts

February 6, 2023

You aren’t going to believe these donuts are #glutenfree #grainfree refined #sugarfree and #dairyfree. Once you glaze them and take a bite you’ll understand why I am calling them Dunkin’ FOnuts- super rich, moist and decadent. Here’s how to make them!

DONUTS

FROSTING

  • 1/8 cup (generally 1/2 scoop) protein powder of choice
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup or sweetener of choice ( I used Lakanto sugar free maple syrup)
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder (I use a good quality dark like this one) for chocolate glaze, eliminate if you would like vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
  • OPTIONAL: sugar free sprinkles, I like Perfect Keto, rainbow or chocolate

PREPARATIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly coat a silicon donut mold with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flours, protein powder, baking powder, cocoa powder and sea salt and maca if using (this gives a greta caramel flavor and tons of health benefits!).
  3. In separate smaller bowl, whisk the eggs, almond milk, vanilla, sweetener, oil, together, until well combined. Pour mixture into the larger bowl of dry ingredients and whisk until a well combined batter has formed.
  4. Pour batter into prepared donut mold, so that each mold is 3/4 full, and place in oven to bake for 15-18 minutes (or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean you want them moist)
  5. Remove mold from oven and allow to cool until donuts are easy to remove from the molds.
  6. While donuts bake and cool, prepare frosting by stirring together frosting ingredients in a small bowl.
  7. Once donuts have cooled completely, frost donuts by dipping one by one into prepared frosting glaze.
  8. Top with sprinkles
